UNDERSTAND HORSES

A truly 5 stars course. Anyone with an interest in horses whether professional or not cannot come away without feeling so much more educated and empowered to understand horses. Excellent course for all BHS APC and pleased to see it counts towards CPD. Would like to see this content included progressively in the BHS qualifications as the content contains the latest research findings.

I cannot rate this course highly enough. I found it incredibly interesting, engaging and insightful. It has given me a renewed sense of confidence, enthusiasm and ambition, and I feel much more able to take on the scary world of behaviour consulting. I am so glad I took part in the course and will miss having the new lessons and zoom calls to look forward to each week.

I recently finished this course and miss it already! Trudi is an incredible trainer, knowledgeable, insightful and supportive. My understanding of positive reinforcement and the practical application of it has improved so much. I didn’t want it to end!

This course provided huge amounts of clearly explained information about the very confusing subject of feeding and its impact on the physical and psychological wellbeing of the horse. I learned a lot and got some good ideas for making feeding more satisfying and suitable for the horse's ethological needs.

I am relatively new to positive reinforcement training and have not really been in a “ learning “ environment for several decades so when I saw this course advertised on social media I was very interested but also worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up or it would be too much for me. I made contact with the lovely Trudi Dempsey who put me at ease and encouraged me to sign up, I’m so very glad I did. I absolutely loved the course, so much information, feedback and a wonderfully supportive community to share the journey with. This course has given me the confidence I needed to progress with my training and I hope Trudi will be doing another course.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was well structured and explained throughout the modules, I found it easy to follow and learn and I have never studied equine brain anatomy. I found the course very useful as I train horses for living

This course was easy to follow and tremendously informative. I've been around horses all my life and was totally surprised by what I didn't know!!!

I learned so my details that you never read about in horse magazines. I really have learned lots from doing this course - it’s information all horse people should know, but sadly they don’t. It has definitely changed the way I look at my horses and already I find I am paying more attention to their facial expressions and movement.

All Horse owners should take this course, to better help understand what their horse is trying to communicating to them. Well Done! Excellent Course.
